Meet Arthur Guy Kaplan, an expert in antique jewelry whose book on the subject is in is seventh printing. Kaplan gives us a fascinating, hands-on walk-through of an 1870s French cameo jewelry suite that he brought to the 39th annual Winnetka Antiques Show at the Winnetka Community house.

Mary Kay Burke of Coldwell Banker's Winnetka North office was my hostess and guide for the first day of the show, which runs through Sunday, March 9. We were joined by M.L. Jast of the Winnetka Community House Board of Governors.

The show draws more than 50 dealers from around the country who exhibit pieces ranging in price from the tens of dollars to the tens of thousands, and provide mini-seminars on their areas of expertise
